POSITION: Assistant Production Manager
STATUS: Part time as needed
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
FACILITIES: Warner Theatre / Erie Insurance Arena / Bayfront Convention Center / Liberty Park
HOURLY RATE: $23/per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Production Manager is responsible assisting the Production Manager in event activity regarding all technical production elements such as: lighting, sound, audio visual, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· He/she must have three years of technical experience within venues of comparable or larger in size preferred.
· Technical experience in deploying and operating modern sound, lighting, and AV systems.
· Computer experience is preferred with an emphasis on Microsoft Office applications.
· Occasional lifting of heavy weight up to 50 pounds.
· Travel between Erie Events facilities is required.
· Must have good communication and attention to detail skills.
· Must have flexible schedule and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
· Strong work ethic, and organizational skills.
ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION DETAIL
· Provides technical management expertise at Erie Events venues.
· He/she will work various events and assist with production expertise based on group needs.
· This position will assist in enforcing standardized production and event related policies and procedures.
· He/she will ensure safe working practices.
· He/she will facilitate repair and maintenance of resources and equipment.
· Ability to develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships and communications with outside parties as well as Erie Events staff.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Ensure that all technical needs are met for events.
· Coordinate with the Director of Production any additional equipment rentals for events.
· Attend events as scheduled by Director of Production.
· Operate house equipment as needed for events.
· Train and supervise part time event staff to operate house equipment.
· Ensure that all house equipment is in working order, and work with Director of Production to identify and coordinate needed repairs of house equipment.
· Respond timely to tour, vendor, and internal inquiries.
· Understand and follow union conditions as listed in the union contracts regarding Hair and Make-up, Wardrobe, Musicians, and Stagehands.
· Promote a safe working environment at all times implementing Erie Events safe operating policies and procedures.
· Must develop and maintain good relations with local unions, third party contractors, and other Erie Events tenants.
· Drive own vehicle for Erie Events business as needed,
· Communicate with our other facilities to ensure that all building’s staffing and supply needs are being met.
· Other duties as assigned.
